July 23 – August 22: When the universe whispers, “Now or never.”
The Sun is in Leo, and you can feel it in every damn cell of your body. This is the time of year when the world feels louder, warmer, bolder. Leo season is a call to step the hell out of your comfort zone, stop dimming your light, and live so fiercely that your heart catches fire. Passion. Creativity. Presence. It’s all right there, waiting for you. The only question is will you dare to show up?
From July 23 to August 22, Leo reigns, blending heart and will into one unstoppable force. It’s the season of courage, self-expression, and raw creative power. This is your invitation to play, create, and step onto the damn stage whether it’s a real one or the stage of your own life.
The raw power of this season lies in its warmth and generosity. Leo energy is pure creative fire, the spark that lets you explore, experiment, and expand. When we live it fully, we are openhearted, inspiring, and brave. We take on challenges and lead our own lives without apology. It’s an energy of abundance, fueled by the heart, reflected in the world around us – everything ripe, overflowing, as if the Earth herself is celebrating her own brilliance.
The shadow side of Leo energy
Where there’s light, there’s shadow. Leo energy can blind you to the fact that there are other truths out there. It wants to lead, to inspire, to push forward – even if no one asked for it. And if you’re not careful, that urge to give everything can burn you out faster than you expect. Criticism can sting more than usual during this time, and it takes conscious balance not to overheat.
Themes of Leo Season
Now’s the time to move like you mean it:
- Launch projects that make your pulse race.
- Just go for it – with that playful “this could be epic” energy.
- Practice self-love and deepen your connection with yourself.
- Step into visibility – through your work, your art, or by speaking your truth out loud.
- Share generously – your time, your knowledge, your resources. Leo is the sign of pure abundance.
And honestly? Once you make your move in Leo season, who the hell is gonna stop you?
What to watch out for:
- Don’t pour so much into others that there’s nothing left for yourself.
- Focus your energy instead of scattering it in a hundred directions.
- Don’t take feedback as a personal attack – see it as an invitation to grow.
- Pro tip: Leo energy is potent – handle it with care. Hit pause now and then, take a breath, and make sure you’re still heading where you actually want to go.
When Leo energy can feel like a challenge
For some signs, this energy can be… a lot. Capricorns, who find comfort in structure and duty, can feel dragged out of their safe zone by Leo’s wild, untamed vibe – and that’s not always comfortable. Pisces, gentle and dreamy, often shy away from the harsh glare of the spotlight and can feel overwhelmed by Leo’s blazing presence. But that’s exactly where the opportunity lies to stretch your edges and see yourself in a whole new light.
And don’t worry – your Sun sign doesn’t have to be fire to work this magic.
Goddesses & Gods to call on in Leo Season
A little heads-up: if you’ve never worked with deities before, this might not be the time to just jump in recklessly. Or maybe it is. Fire is an incredible force, but it can burn you to ash if you’re careless. If you want a starting point for divine work, check out the articles or visit Geo’s world, he’s got a killer podcast, a solid newsletter, and some amazing courses on the subject.
I’m obsessed with his Divine Mirrors deity oracle deck, which I also used to find the perfect allies for Leo season.
Pele – The Volcano Goddess
Pele, the Hawaiian goddess of volcanoes, is one of the fiercest forces in the Polynesian pantheon. Creator of the Hawaiian islands, she forged the land itself from her molten lava and is said to dwell in the Halemaʻumaʻu crater of Kīlauea on Big Island. Daughter of the goddess Haumea, she comes from a divine bloodline stacked with powerful siblings – including her eternal rival, Namaka, the sea goddess.
Pele is passion and raw nature incarnate, creator and destroyer in one breath. She’s unpredictable, jealous, breathtakingly beautiful, and absolutely untamed. In the old stories, she appears as a radiant young woman, a wise old crone, or even as glowing lava itself.
Her myths are wild: fiery love affairs, legendary rivalries, and her epic journey from Tahiti to Hawaii, igniting volcanoes along the way. To this day, she’s both revered and feared. People still leave offerings – gin, cigarettes, flowers – at her sacred sites. And many swear that taking lava rocks from her land will curse you with bad luck until they’re returned.
Pele is the ultimate symbol of transformation through destruction. She is unapologetic feminine force, creativity in its rawest form, and the call to burn down the old so the new can rise. She shows up when you’re holding back, when you’re afraid of being “too much,” when your fire’s been dimmed for too long.
Pele’s message: Burn away everything that keeps you small, and forge yourself anew in your own flames.
Questions to work with Pele:
- Where am I holding myself back instead of igniting my passion?
- What power is waiting inside me, ready to be unleashed?
- What could be born if I dared to follow my fire?
Quetzalcoatl – The Rising Feathered Serpent
- Essence: Culture bearer, wind and wisdom, the one who acts before everything feels perfect.
- Mythic vibe: He descends into the underworld to reclaim the bones of humanity, stumbles, the bones shatter, he returns, grinds them, mixes them with his own blood, and life begins again.
- Leo link: Lead with your heart, take the stage, turn knowledge into daring action, show up even when the path is not fully lit.
- Message: You do not have to be flawless or all knowing to be seen, begin with what you have, courage grows in motion.

Tarot Spread – Your Place in the Spotlight
- Intention: “Show me how to walk Leo season with courage, radiance, and power”.
- Layout: Five cards in a crown shape.

- Your biggest shadow, the doubt or fear that slows you down.
- The stage that awaits you, the chance you should seize.
- Your royal vow, what you promise yourself for this season.
- Deepening: If a card triggers you, pull a clarifier, Leo does not do half measures.
Journaling Questions
- Where am I still dimming my light, and why on earth am I still doing that.
- If today were my coronation, with what energy would I step onto that stage.
- What risk is calling my name, and what would happen if I simply took it.
- Whose opinion weighs more than my own inside my head, and how do I reclaim that throne.
- What single action would set my heart ablaze if I finally did it today.
